Hope someone can help me here, i have been doing some t-shirts myself and not to happy about how they was coming out, so i emailed afew screen printer to see how much it would cost not to get 50 done and more later on, i get a email back from someone who said they could do them on Dye based printing and have sent me a t-shirt out and it looks really good but he says it will cost me for 40 7.50 each i think this sounds alot ?? is he over changing me?? and if so what should i be looking at to pay??. as afew screen printer have emailed me back saying they can do the work i want for 3.50 and the vat on top, any help here would be great. thanks stephen.
DyeSub is more expensive per shirt than screen printing when it comes to bulk orders. The $7.50 per shirt actually sounds very cheap to me for a DyeSub shirt. I sell a 1-sided white DyeSub shirt for $12, and that's probably cheaper than most people would. The shirts themselves are about $5 wholesale. There is very little bulk discount in DyeSub like there is for screen printing. I do both DyeSub and screen printing, and I only do DyeSub for small orders (less than 10), or if they are for performance athletic wear.
If you just want 50 regular T-shirts, screen printing is the way to go.

The most popular (and coincidentally most cheapest :-) one is the Epson C88. Yes... I said most cheapest... It's not the best, but the most cheapest :-)
