Default General Process for Printing Dyesub tees

I just wanted to know the exact steps for doing this. I know most of the logical stuff, but if someone would break down the steps for me I sure would appreciate it. Here is how to goes in my head: (btw I am using dyesub, C88+, and 12inx12in heat press)

1. Create the Image.
2. Print the Image (do I need special paper or transerfer paper?)
3. Press the Image (do I have to cut around it? does it have to be exact cutting?)
4. Let it cool down.

Hi, Use sublimation transfer paper, dont forget to mirror your image when needed other wise it will be reversed, also check with the different items you use as far as press time, temp times and pressure, also you have to sublimate on polyester coated substrates (like mousepads coffee cups etc.) or polyester shirts, and welcome to the world of sublimation!!!!

Hope this helps a little, oh and also use sublimation inks.

Thanks for the tips man, I will check into the time and pressure issues tonight when my partner gets here. However, we are primarly focusing on tshirts so we have decided to go with ChromaBlast ink so that we can print on 100% cotton tshirts. Poly tees even wholesale are just to expensive and the 50/50s I hear do not turn out very well. Also, another plus from what I have read is that ChromaBlast can also print very well on poly surfaces such as mousepads and ect.

Thanks for the welcome and the tip on mirroring images, I almost forgot about that. :0

True, ink transfer is less expensive all the way around but the sub transfers will far and away have a better hand, most likely no hand and produce vivid colors, however ink transfer produces a nice hand but will fade over time, as the sub transfer turns into gas and becomes part of the garment, the print will outlast the shirt, either way both are good choices. so good luck, hope you do well.

Chromablast will only adhere to cotton, that is why you need to use 100% cotton shirts so it will not work on poly mousepads.

Also, regular inkjet transfers work GREAT on mousepads and they are much cheaper than ChromaBlast or DyeSub.

You do not have to cut around the image for sublimation. That's one of the things that so great about it. NO MORE CUTTING!!!! Only the ink transfers. Nothing transfers from the white sublimation paper.

If you are going to be doing shirts, invest in a couple Teflon pillows or the Vapor foam kit. This will eliminate the press lines caused by the edge of the paper. I would also suggest some ProSpray from Conde. It's adhesive spray that prevents the shirt from shifting under the paper during the pressing process. Without it, you will likely experience ghosting and blurry images when doing fabric.
