Default what about WICKid tshirts?

hello all. im back again with another topic. i read a post where a guy mentioned that he uses WICKid 100% polyester t-shirts for sublimation. he said they worked great for him but like always id like to hear more opinions from other people that use them or have used them. the variety of colors they offer is what interests me the most. not all my customers want just white tees (since thats all that hanes soft l'inks offers) and ive been to vapor apparel but all they have are pastel colors. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanx.

I might have been the guy that said I liked them, but I think they produce the best sublimated shirts I've seen. They have a smooth surface which allows for a very sharp image. And they have a ton of colors to choose from.

I've used Colorado Timberline too, but they colors are pretty much limited to white. They don't even have a gray that is light enough to use, which doesn't make much sense to me. And I've been waiting for a month for one of their styles that has been backordered. My customer is getting impatient, and I can understand why.

Where do you get Holloways from? I've never seen any of them.

WickID and WICKZ both sublimate very nicely. These shirts are in a completely different class than the Hanes SoftLink. The WickID shirts are marketed towards the athletic market. We use the Hanes for general wear (pic of kids, family reunions, etc.) and performance shirts for athletic customers. Athletic customers will not be happy with Hanes and grandma will not like WickID.

hey thanks guys. i think ill check out the wickids. im selling to mainly teenagers so i dont think they'll mind. i just needed more color selection than what hanes (or even vapor) offers. im even looking into using duracottonsub or duracotton98 to sublimate all the cotton t-shirts i have here that i use for screen printing. it would be a shame to just let them sit there..since i do very little screen printing any more. thanks again for the info.

Hi

I've got the Hanes Soft L'ink tees. I've been testing an ash colour one in my Kung Fu class as they want me to dye sub their shirts for them. I like how they feel but but from an athletic perspective I do find them a bit thick. Also we are required to tuck our t-shirts into our pants but the Hanes shirt started pilling very noticeably where it contacts the top of the pants. It doesn't look that great after only a couple of times.

So, ditto on: not good for athletics but nice and soft for Grandma!
