Default lines in artwork?

I am new to dye sub and bought a new hybrid dye sub system (epson 1410).
I have been having a lot of problems with lines in my printed out artwork? I did a job recently for 100 stubby holders (koozies) and wasted a ton of paper and neoprene because of track lines in the artwork??? I did head cleans/nozzel checks and some times it got worse after a head clean???
I use Subli-trans inks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: lines in artwork?

The issue you are having is called 'banding'...specifically in your case it is call 'horizontal banding'.

If you are getting good nozzle checks.....perform a head alignment. I suggest doing two complete alignments, one behind the other)

You may have a pump/cap issue. Your pump may be working well enough to print an ideal nozzle check but isn't performing to the tasks of production printing.

Also...printout 5" solid color blocks (in CMYK) this can tell you the color that is causing the issue (from your image, it may be cyan) If you get the banding in a specific color.....change the damper for that color.

After all is completed and/or checked and the issue is still present, you may have a defective head.

I have no clue how to perform the above recommendations on a 1410 but those are ares you can troubleshoot.

Hope this helps,

Jae
