I searched for topics regarding this but didn't find anything so hopefully not a repost. Anyways, I am looking for a way to tweak my ArTanium ICC profile to really dial in color reproduction. I print to PBT plastic and have pretty good results with the stock ArTanium profile for my Epson 4000 (ICC V1.2) but would like to tweak some colors. Google was not much help, but I would think there is a way to print out a full spectrum, do a little analysis and tweak the ICC profile to my specifications. Anybody know of a way to do this? I am using Photoshop CS2. Thanks!
color shifting is sometimes related to your program...I would call sawgrass and have them help with this. They have been most helpful to me in the past. If you are using Corel, try using the Trumatch color palette..go to tool bar >windows >color palette>Trumatch colors
And if you call Sawgrass they can send you a file to print out the colors..about nine pages as I recall
You can't 'tweak' profiles, if you have the original data you can make them with different characteristics.
You may want to try changing the INPUT/WORKING profile, I use Adobe1998RGB.
If you are after saturation, you should change this by using the input profile, not the output profile.
Thanks for the tip. Do you know of a good tutorial that shows how I can tweak the input profile? Is there a way to do this on an existing image? Thanks!
I think I got it from the iso or the icc website. I can't remember exactly.
Its a program that allow to view the ICC profile(s).
You should be able to find it doing a search.
Its called ICCPROFILEINSPECTOR2.4
