Default Save T Fixative by Coast Airbrush

Is anyone using the "Save T Fixative by Coast Airbrush" as a pre and-or post treatment in place of a DTG pretreatment. As an inexpensive aerosol it looks like an easy way to get the job done... Additionally their "Top Binder" is only $40.00 a gallon... Could this be an inexpensive pretreatment as well?

Never heard of it. Does it work with Dupont white ink? DTG doesn't need a post pretreatment.

zhenjie,

Zhenjie,

I just caught on to it in another forum. I'm thinking of using regular Inkjetfly textile ink which is far more inexpensive than DTG ink. Using this ink will result in less clogs and a longer life for the printer heads.

From what I understand (and I have not tried this) is that you must use a pretreatment on white shirts and the ink fuses with the pretreatment which bonds with the T-Shirt. The post treatment, though not necessary, would just give the image a longer wash life.

Now T Save is a fixative that prolongs the life of airbrush inks on a shirt. I can see no reason why it couldn't do the same for any inks. Question is would it be suitable as a pretreatment. I am hoping someone has tried this. Since I airbrush as well I think I will give it a try.
