We want to move our set up closer to home but there isn't a lot of industrial space, it would mostly be re-purposed office buildings. Inside is basically a step above cubicle farms - as in they actually have full walls and doors. I think it is loud at first but after working an hour or two I get pretty desensitized so I can't really tell if it would be too loud in that setting. Say I could hear phones ringing in hallways - too loud?

The loudest part of the Speedtreater is the air compressor which will go off as the pressure drops. I've never met a quiet air compressor and this one doesn't dissappoint. I'd call it a bit louder than a garbage disposal but definitely more grating due to the high pitched sounds of each pumping action.
The actual spray and tray movement is not really loud at all and is low pitched as well. The electric shaver mark would be a bit softer than the tray movement but again, the lower pitch makes the sound less annoying as well.
We keep ours inside a single wall house and there is little noise spillage from the spraying and tray movement but the sound of the air compressor is noticable.
It's definitely loud enough that I don't pretreat after hours. The aircompressor just drones. I can hear the tray moving from my upstairs apartment, which is over my warehouse. So I'd say it's loud. The best thing is to just get your pretreating out of the way during 9am-8pm when people wouldn't be sleeping.

Hi Teeser,
The SpeedTreater has a built-in compressor that should turn on only once or twice an hour, for 3 minutes or so each time. That's when the machine is in constant use. With just intermittent use, the compressor may only come on once or twice per day. When not in operation, the unit is silent.
We keep a SpeedTreater near our support center and the ST in operation doesn't bother our support technicians who are on the phone all day.
Thanks everyone. I'll tell the leasing agent we have a piece of equipment that uses an air compressor and see if it will fly at this storefront location. It's a primo end unit so it shouldn't be a problem. It's a great machine and I definitely don't want to give it up.

One major advantage that our SpeedTreater Automatic Pretreater has is that you can place it right next to your printer. The SpeedTreater is designed to keep all the pretreat spray within the unit.
