Default Printing on non-textiles

Hello everyone,

First off thanks to all of you who contribute regularly to this site, it was a guiding light and an incredible source of information while I was researching what type of machine to buy. I have a DTG Viper and I was wondering if anyone had any experience printing on non-textile substrates like metal, wood, or paper. I do understand that this probably wan't what this machine was designed for by DTG, but under the hood she is still an epson. Is there a different series of inks that would facilitate something like this? I've tried a couple of tests and they all have yielded less than exceptional results. I've seen footage and even samples of DTG printers printing on golf balls, whose surface seems like it would be tougher to get ink to adhere to than anything... Any information or experiences that you could share would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Chris

Try Solvent printers. Type it in a search link on the top or left of the page.

Chris,

There is actually a pre-treatment and post-treatment that you can purchase to print on non-textiles. You will use the same ink. Contact your dealer for availability and pricing.
