Hello i am a beginner still havent made my first t shirt now i just bought new bulk ink system and installed but now i get all the lights flashing then a loud noise after you turn it on and it does a head cleaning any suggestions!
The noise is me opening the ink bottles I just recieved my new bulk ink system the video does not show all the ink lights flashing
Dixie,
The first thing you should do is reset your waste ink counter. Please download the adjustment program from the Equipment Zone website here: Fast T-Jet Adjustment Program
If you have any trouble resetting your waste ink counter with that utility, please let me know.
The error lights may be caused by another issue, perhaps with the encoder strip, but resetting the waste ink counter is the best first troubleshooting step because it's easy to do.

PS - To let you know, the printer in the video is a Fast T-Jet 2, not a DTG Kiosk. They are virtually the same printer, though.
Ummm that appears to me to be a kiosk. Alex arent the tjets red? The kiosk looks the same as the tjet except its blue, which that printer is. I could be mistaken, but it does look exactly the same as the kiosks that I have seen, other then the ink bottles are different.
I would think that since its moving back and forth, that it would not be the ink chips needing resetting. On my machine when the waste ink counter needs resetting, the print head does not move at all. I would think more likely cleaning the encoder strip or replacing it would be more likely to be the issue. But Alex does work these printers on a daily basis, so he may be right. I just know on my machine when its the ink lights due to resetting, my printhead does not move back and forth that way. Trying to reset the waste counter is the easiest thing to try though

Ok wait I take that back, the ink bottles are actually on the other side of the kiosk, so Alex is probably correct that it is a tjet. Weird that it is blue and not red?

The video is dark, but the chrome sides and the placement of the load and error buttons identify the printer as a T-Jet 2.
The ink bottles are from our EZ Pro Bulk System, so technically the bottles could be on a T-Jet 2 or a Kiosk, but it's the buttons on the side cover that really give it away that it's not a Kiosk.
It's the original T-Jet 1 that was red. The only other red machine US Screen made was the Blazer Pro. Most of the other models were chrome, stainless steel, or a combination.
(And yes, while I'm crossing my fingers that the waste tank reset will fix things, you're right that signs point to an encoder strip problem or other issue.)
Looks to me like it's trying to find the platen. I've seen that happen on a TJet Red. The only way I could get it to load correctly was to push the platen in where the edge of it was just under the head. If it read correctly, it would go a lot quicker that what you see there. It would go very slow and do a couple passes if it wasn't reading the platen.
I still couldn't figure out what the issue was, but if I loaded the platen just under the head, it would move once, a lot quicker, then come back, move over about half way and then load and set with no blinking lights. Strange for sure, but try that and see if it loads afterwards.

Thanks Alex I was thinking they were either Red or Chrome I did also notice the different placement of the buttons as well, once I looked at it again. Since on the Kiosk the buttons and the ink are both on the same side as well. On the kiosk the buttons are on top right? and on that one they are more on the front. I do see the differences once I look closer. Thanks again for clarifying

The T-Jet 2 has its buttons on the top of the topmost cover, in a straight line. The Kiosk has its buttons on the top of a lower cover, shaped like a square. Also, the T-Jet 2 will have an auto-reload counter on the side cover, while the Kiosk doesn't have that counter.
