printer keeps cycling through a home search? I did some in depth cleaning including removing dampers and running cleaning solution directly through the head. I finished and put it all back together and ran a couple of head cleanings and nozzle checks to make sure that I had ink in all the nozzles. Everything was fine.
I left the machine alone for about an hour and came back to finish cleaning it up so I could go home for a three day weekend and it is continously running through a cycle and won't stop.
It acts like it is trying to find the home position so my first thought was that the encoder strip was dirty so I wiped it down but that had no effect.
The cycle starts with the head moving slowly across the bar and then quickly back to home and it goes through some more stuff over the capping station then it all starts over again, and again and again...
I have rebooted the printer many many times. I have shut off power on the back, on the head and everytime I turn it back on it starts doing the same thing.
I tried for over an hour to get ahold of SWFMesa but they weren't answering the phone and now they are closed and my printer is wigging out.
I don't want to leave my machine off that long and I certainly don't want to leave it running that cycle that long.
Any ideas?
