RIP Pro, A & B Cables, garbage A while back I was fighting my printer because when I tried to print the white layers, I was getting big ugly blocks of color. After days on the phone etc. with tech support, I was told it was an issue with Microsoft's updates corrupting RIP Pro. Removed/Reinstalled RIP Pro while a tech walked me through it.
Since then, I have had my hard drive wiped and reinstalled only essential software. I have automatic updates turned OFF on my computer. I have set it so the antivirus program does NOT scan RIP Pro. Nobody else is allowed to access my computer for any reason. And yet, every morning I go to print a white base, there are the stupid bands of color. I have to remove/reinstall RIP Pro EVERY DAY to print. This is frustrating.
I would love to hear any thoughts on what else I can do to prevent this from happening.
P.S. I also was told yesterday that my waste ink dump issue is a problem with my A and B cables. I am wondering if the two issues could be related somehow.
P.P.S. When I actually print, the prints look GREAT. These issues aren't affecting print quality on the color layers, and only affect the white layer until I remove and reinstall the software. Again. For the nth time.
P.P.P.S. How much are A and B cables anyway? |
