Error Eject and Ink Lights Blinking after head cleaning
After a head cleaning I get blinking error eject lights and ink lights. I changed the encoder strip and reset the waste ink counter using the maintenance program
Re: Error Eject and Ink Lights Blinking after head cleaning
Sounds like there is something jamming the printer memory. Try turning off the printer. Then delete all print jobs waiting to be printed. Then turn the printer back on. Hope this works.

I tried that and it did not work but last night I noticed the wiper and the capping station were jammed. I am going to change it and see if that solves the issue
Re: Error Eject and Ink Lights Blinking after head cleaning
If the wiper in your capping assembly is jammed it will cause problems, including the one you mentioned. The capping assembly is a wear part and should be changed at least once or twice a year as part of a regular maintenance schedule. I strongly advise changing the entire assembly (capping station, pump. wipers) and not just an individual unit. The entire assembly is not that expensive and the parts all tend to wear the same.

Well I installed the part and I am still getting the same thing. I even reset the waste coubter manually. Before it quit, the machine was printing a shirt and then just stopped in the middle of the shirt. Could it be the ribbon cable or a bad head?
Re: Error Eject and Ink Lights Blinking after head cleaning
Without being redundant, there are other things you should check before we blame the head or cables. I know you have cleaned the encoder strip, but did you pull it out of the machine to clean it? If not, I would suggest this first. Also look where the encoder strip goes through the sensor on the carriage. make sure this area is free of lint.
I am hoping that during the emptying of the queues and such, that you actually unplugged the printer from the wall for at least 2-3 minutes to clear the buffer.
Going to leave it at this until I see a response to status.

Ok I did that. Same problem. But I did inspect the ribbon cable and saw a burn spot on it so I am going to relace it also. I would like to know if there is a tool to clean the sensor on the carriage? Thanks
