Default Pressing problems

I was wondering what kind of sheet everyone is using to put over their shirts once they are printed and ready to be pressed. I have been using the teflon sheet and wondered if there was something better, that might make the colors stay vibrant. I press at 330 for 3 minutes and my colors just dont look the same as they do after they have been printed.

I used the roll uncoated butcher paper from Sam's club. It saves me from having to track down several pieces of copier paper.

if print is screened and you need to insure a cure just lay the shirt face down on the press platen and press it from the back, thus eliminating the need for any paper and insuring a cure

I use the teflon slip covers on both the top and bottom. I got mine from stahls. use very light pressure.

Default Re: Pressing problems

This is the paper I use and it works great Exopap Silicone Double Face Baking Paper, each sheet can be used three or four times and a box lasts for a long time. It is also large enough to cover the 16 x 20 press, and you can use both sides as it is double sided silicone parchment. I press on my dark shirts at 325 degrees for 180 seconds and my light shirts at 325 degrees at 120 seconds with very light pressure. Make sure your pressure is not to tight, if it is you will get more fade and your inks will not cure as well, as the moisture needs to be able to escape, as they are water based inks.
