Default Error Eject and Ink Lights Blinking Alternately

got in this morning from the long weekend and saw that my dtg had some flashing lights....one look and i knew it was the waste ink counter needing to be reset....

today was my scheduled day for monthly maintenance, so i just turned the machine off and started my cleaning (which includes pulling all the white ink out of the lines, cleaning the lines and nipples, then priming up the machine with fresh white ink along with regular cleaning of capping station, squeegees and around the printhead)....

after i'm finished cleaning, i try to reset the waste ink counter....hold in button inside waste ink door, and error eject....press power, and release the other two, then hold the button inside the waste ink door.....my machine does nothing....the error eject light continues to blink...

if i press the power button before releasing the waste ink button, the machine just shuts off....if i release the waste ink button before the power, the ink lights flash, then the print carriage goes through its regular routine of moving down to the left side and then back to the right before turning off....

i've even tried cleaning the encoder strip and still get nothing.....any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are the lights acting like the reset button is working while being pushed? OK I reread your original post and it looks like the button my not be working. I think if you remove the cover over the control panel you will find the switches that were in the original Kiosk (which are the epson buttons) and if you are a member of the DTG forum you will find the buttons you need to push to reset the ink counter. If you can not find or get this info let me know and I will find it!

I believe his waste tank reset button was not functioning. You should also be able to reset with the epson adjustment program thru software if a button fails.

Fatal error. This is sometimes the follow on to a simple error that did not clear. Power down and unplug for 10 min or longer
