Ok, everything has been running smoothly until I get to a shirt that I have to print that is a green frog. For some reason. it is printing the frog a bluish color when it is supposed to print it the greenish color it looks like. What I can't figure out, is that I've printed this design before and it printed just like it looked. Can anybody help me figure out why the color is coming out bluish?? I've used the default color settings and NTSC, Swop Simulated. Please help. Thanks a ton.
It is CMYK, but I converted it to RGB, and tried printing it that way too. I just don't get what the problem could be. the image is perfect except for the color. I've printed the frog before and it came out exactly like the picture. My other images colors are printing fine.
What color shirt are you printing on? If it is a different color shirt, and you are not using a white underabase, the color of the shirt will blend with the color of the ink and change the frog color.

It's a light pink shirt, and I'm using a white underbase, so I know it's not that. I even printed the design on white paper just to see, and it's still bluish instead of green. Have you ever dealt with something like this?
Very Strange, it sounds like it is mixing up the colour wrong. If it is the whole print then I would probably try reinstalling the driver and the rip. It may have mixed up somewhere. Before that htoug do a colour check on the art work and see how much Cyan is in it and then maybe turn it down a notch through PS.
I agree with Grant. It seems like a color profile problem to me. Have you switched inks lately? Maybe using a different brand of ink? Also something that works well also is to print a color chart on another pink shirt, and see which green on the chart matches best with what green you are trying to get, and change the frog to that green. The only time I had this problem was when I tried a different ink that did not work well with my profiles.

Check to see what the color space you are printing from is. Most likely it is sRGB, if that is the case, select sRGB as the source profile in RIP Pro. Also, make sure your rendering intent is set to perceptual and that you are letting the printer manage color.

Hope this helps!
Thank you everyone. Really, thanks a ton. I think I've figured it out. My Yellow channel is not printing for some reason. Can anyone give me some pointers on trying to unclog one channel? I've pulled ink through the dampers with the syringe, so the damper is fine. What else can I do? Should I try to pull the clog from the waste ink bottle, or through the yellow tube that goes into the yellow bottle? Please help me on this? Thanks again everyone.

WE USE THE CLEANING CARTRIDGES EVERY FEW DAYS I POP OUT THE INK CARTRIDGES AND RUN THE CLEANING ONES THROUGH THE HEAD so the only ink wasted is the little bit in the head.I have had the bis for 2 months now and have maintained a perfect nozzle check since.even with dampers you should be able to use the cleaning cartridges. They are really great if you ask me
Great info Dutchess. I'll look into getting those. It took me awhile to figure it out, but it wasn't pulling yellow and mixing to make green. that's why it was coming out blue. Don't know what was blocking it. I put some cleaning solution through the yellow tube, and then I was back up and running. Damn! these machines are testy.
Glad to hear you figured it out... I bought a couple of spare dampers when I bought my machine. Don posted a list of recommended parts to keep on hand, saved me a few times already. Accidently broke the encode strip last night, fortunately I had a spare thanks to Don's advice.
