If the ink is properly agitated (at least every other day or so) the shelf life is one year from date of manufacture. I'm not sure about others but we generally sell all of our white ink within about two weeks of it's arrival at our offices. Assume that the ink is 2-3 weeks old at that time - so you can generally figure on a 10-11 month shelf life at your location.

Hope this helps!

Hi, my problem is that i have receved a Ink from my suplier that is more than a year old.

I have put the ink in my kiosk2 and all the white ink heads are cloaged now.

When i contacted them they told me that the ink doesnt have expiration... or the ink is good for life.
I need to find some documentation to prove them wrong..

thanks

I'm not going to get in a fight between yourself and your distributor, I can only provide you with the info regarding the ink we sell. I will tell you that a supplier that still has ink that is a year old must not sell much ink! We seldom have ink on our shelves that is over a few weeks old.

Number one, without knowing exactly who you purchased your ink from and whom they use as an ink manufacturer I cannot give definitive answers. Number two, I have only been given the shelf lives of ink verbally, never in writing from the manufacturer of the ink. I will state that white ink should be agitated (rollong the bottle is the best way) at least every other day to prevent it from seperating.

I have both the ink from a certified supplier for the DTG brand in my country. The only certified company here.

Im not going to go into a law suit with them.

But i need some proof that the ink was bad so I can get my money back. Maybe even a new head.. because the white color made it unusuable. and I lost a good client because of it.

Could you please point me in the right direction..
the manufacturers email or anything
You can PM me.

Thanks

Dupont makes the white ink so I would try contacting them! But I am not sure if they are the only one making white ink! You may what to see who is making it for your vendor!

I would fathom to guess that the DP infers DuPont. As I said before. I have never seen it in writing as to the shelf life of the inks, only what has been verbally relayed to me. Have you contacted the master distibutor for DTG - www.dtgdigital.com ?

I had the same experience. I bought some white ink from a supplier in CA several month ago, and found out it was old. They did change the ink, but cost me a brand new print head. Of course, no more business with them. Hope all the suppliers would supply good quality stuff.

You should find that the larger ink suppliers are seldom able to keep ink on their shelves longer then a few weeks, so you should never get "old" ink. I know from our own experience, as our new inks come in they are usually rotated out the door within 2 to 3 weeks, sometimes even faster, simply due to demand.
