Default New ink with sludge

Hello all:
I jsut purchased new ink for my Kiosk from a reputable dealer (actually the dealer you are supposed to purchase from) and the red had a ton of actual sludge in it Yes, I shook the bottle first before puttng it to the machine. This is a new bottle but does anyone know what would break it up and clear out a damper per se? I have tried cleaning fluid from same dealer and it isn't working. I poured the red (magenta) into a coffee filter to see what was going on (I did not bring my camera but will try to post picture soon) there was a moderate amount of sluge but also some very hard almost crusty dried ink) all I care about is breaking up the crud that is already in the machine damper, I know I will need to replace but need a temporary solution until next week.

I will send the same pics I post here to the dealer, I am sure they will probably replace, I understand a bad batch every once in a while.

Default Re: New ink with sludge

Is it possible that the "sludge" came from the rim of one of the bottle caps? I haven't seen sludge like this in the colored inks as they very rarely sperate or fall out. . If you need to limp along with the old damper try removing it and GENTLY backflushing it with cleaning solution.

Hope this helps.
