Black Ink not printing

Have you followed the procedures in the manual and flushed the channel? Did you try to draw ink through the line with a syringe?

I would also suggest changing out the black damper, it could have a clog.

Need more details - was it printing? when was the last time it printed? how is your nozzle check? what did tech support tell you to try?

Don is quite right. You need to supply complete details of what exactly happened, and how the printer was performing up to then, in order to give you a proper solution to try.

my boss was running head cleanings and nozzle checks on our Kiosk 2 the other week, and started to freak out cause the cyan print was getting worse and worse until it was non-existent....i took one look at it and noticed that the line was pinched slightly where it went into the damper....unpinched and the problem was solved....

Also don't forget to check and see if the vent hole (on top of the ink bottle) is open

Yes as Don has said there is a number of reasons for this. 1 Do a nozzel check is it firing on all channels ??? 2. Check to see if ink is flowing through the black line to the damper by remaoving the damper and drawing it through. (if not then replace damper and check to see if the line is not pinched and the air hole is clear in the bottle). 3. Flush the black channel with cleaning fluid (from bottle through print head) 5. How old is the print head?? I have had a print head afetr many prints just drop a channel all together and never work again it was very old and done alot of prints though. One day fine next nothing (cyan). I would start in that order instead of repalacing a printhead only to find you have a bad damper or a pinched tube.
