Default Does the DTG HM-1 Sense the platen edges

Dear all, I know the DTG HM-1 senses the actual height of the platen but does it also sense the edges too? My question being do you have to spend time centering the platen or as long as it's roughly near will the print still match whats on the computer monitor?

Thanks for you help, really appreciate it!! Rich

Hi Rich,

No the machine does not sense the edges. Its pretty easy to center the platen. You end up with like a half inch on each side, but as long as you center your graphic in your graphics program, its really easy

If you want more accurate centering you can lift the tray bed all the way up and print lines on the bed to index the sides and center of the bed then mark them with a piece of tape or permanent ink. Remember, it doesn't matter if the shirt board is centered if you mount the shirt off center on the board!
