Default machine not responding to ink charge

I have drained and cleaned the plastic ink bottles. Then loaded bottles with clean sol. I feel everything is ready to go and begin cleaning my lines, however, when I press the ink charge button to begin cleaning - nothing happens. Do we need to prime the lines in someway?

Also, the machine has been idle and the lines show dried ink. Once the cleaning solution starts running do I just keep refreshing the cleaner multiple times until it is clear? Or is there another step we should do?
thank you in advance for your suggestions.
Jack

The techs from SWF East have been incredible. We purchased new computers and run on the Vista platform. Appearently, if you have an HM-1 and run on a Vista platform there are some adjustments you need to do inorder for the ink charge to work. I can list the steps if anyone is interested but will be a little longer post.

Sorry I did not see this right away By searching for hm1 maintenance program, you would have come by the solution here, as I have it posted several times. Did you change the windows operating format to xp service pack 2 for your program?

Hello BobbieLee,
Thanks for the note. I did a quick search but did not see anything. I am new and still working to figure out all the different ways to utilize this wonderful site. It is people like you that make this an incredible experience.

Bobbie is right, the maintenance program which activates the ink fill on the HM-1 requires running Vista in an XP emulation mode. Tech support can give you the proper procedures for doing this.

I am having the same problem of the ink not charging (got a new HMI-C yesterday). I have Vista. Can anyone give me the steps on how to "run vista in xp emulation mode" or how to make this work? I tried to install the Maintenance Program "in compatability mode for XP" but it still didn't work. Tech support is not open on Saturdays and this can't wait until monday...help please?

Here try this

How do I get the cleaning solution out of the lines?

This is a post I made about switching the operating system mode

Let me know if this works. Remember to restart everything once you change the settings.

Hope this helps
