Default problems with not printing colors

We ran out of ink, replaced it. And now it won't print any colors except red. We checked the flow of the tubing for any dried paint blocking the way but didn't find anything. How would you be able to tell if your damper was bad?

Have you tried running cleaning solution thru your lines? if so is it flowing thru all the lines? I would do that first. See if they are flowing. If not I would put some cleaning solution in your capping station, and soak your printhead for about an hour and try again. If it still wont flow, change the dampers.

How long was your machine without ink in the lines? Were they empty after they ran out, with nothing in them? If so you may have a clogged printhead as well as dampers.

One of the warnings we always give is never let the ink level in your bulk ink system bottles or cartridges get down to empty. Running any of the digital garment printers without ink flowing through the head will probably lead to a damaged print head. You will probably need to put in a new print head. There is, of course, a possibility that it's your dampers. You could check your dampers by popping each, one by one, off the print head, sticking a syringe in the bottom of the damper, and sucking out. If the ink flows freely through the line and damper into the syringe then chances are it is ok. If you feel it hard pulling the ink through then it probably needs replacement.
