Smile Textile Ink V.02 or FastInk3

Hi everyone!
We are upgrading to a bulk ink system and have been using the Textile Bright Inks. We know they are being discontinued so we are left with the question of using the new V.02 inks or the FastInk3s? Anyone have any feedback or testimonials on the ink they use?

I have actually used both and prefer the vo2 inks from Colman and Company. The washability has been excellent. The colors are bright and have had no problems with the usual maintenance issues. Hope this helps.

3 weeks ago i saw that colman had a new v02 bright ink. i needed ink so i purchased the new v02 inks, white, more pretreat (spent more $).
when the new inks came i did everything by the book to completely flush the system, brand new dampers, spent 2-3 days making sure everything was totally clean and no old ink lingering. then filled everything with new ink. got great nozzle checks. everything went smoothly, then all of a sudden, NOTHING.
i emailed my tech and received an auto response that he was out of office. (still have never heard from him). i kept trying to ink fill, head clean, nozzle checks, until i had used entire bottles of v02 ink (not cheap!). still nothing.
i began reading thru forums here and elsewhere and researching this issue. i discovered a discussion about bulk ink system. a lot of conversations, research, prayer later, we decided to purchase the BIS, inks everthing. i had nothing else to loose (except more business!)
we received the system and inks. the BIS comes ready to install with dvd/written instructions and tech support that actually returns calls! My husband did most of the installation (he's talented that way). he did make minor adjustments to make the BIS work for MY machine.
i can't say enuf about my NEW MACHINE!!!!
i am in love with my DTG again. i don't throw ink down the drain in my waste ink bottle. i do a nozzle check and instead of holding my breath and crossing my fingers i get a perfect nozzle check. sometimes i do a couple of nozzle check cause i don't believe what i am seeing! i delivered some really beautiful tees this am to a very happy customer. they were very impressed with how bright their logo was on a RED tee. usually i hurry up and leave cause i am embarrased at how bad it would look and the red tees were the worst!
i am actually happy to print again. i am enjoying my DTG again. it is a very good machine, just some lousy components.
oh, and it's not ALL operator errors. karen
pictures available of new BIS on DTG upon request.

thats great i to purchased my bulk ink system from equipment zone and this morning i ordered the fast inks as well. Now 30 minutes later i changed my mind about the fast ink and called and canceled the order.Needless to say i have v.02 on the way.The whole reason i went with the fast ink in the first place is because they where CHEAPER.I then realized cheaper is not always better. So did you stick with v.02?

no, i got the fastink3 and just sold all the v02 ink to someone else. i feel kinda guilty cause i can't endorse it anymore and am not really wanting to do business ever again with swf or colman and company!
it was worth it to me to risk the possibility of not being able to send back or sell the v02 inks for a better quality ink that produced better results!

Hi Karen, I would love to see the pics of the BIS insitu if that's possible? Like you (used to be), sometimes I deliver orders that keep me sweating, waiting for the complaints to start rolling in... I'm not familiar with the system you are talking about at all, but it sounds GREAT

Thank you for the very kind words. I just wanted to add that Karen told me she prefers keeping her cover off when running her Kiosk printer. So she has installed our EZ PRO Bulk Ink System with it off. However, you can mount the system right on the cover if you want. I've attached some pictures of how our bulk system looks when mounted on the Kiosk cover.

Brian,

Would you mind sending me a picture of the top of your cover. You can email it to [email address]. Thanks.

Question Re: Textile Ink V.02 or FastInk3

With the new Kiosk, operating with the cover off is the only way to see what's going on.

the cover is exactly the same as on the first kiosk except than this is no cut out.

Karen,

I am interested to buy a BIS. Are you able to close ur cover when you stop running ur printer with the BIS inside? (for the night)

Thank you,

i don't have the large blue metal cover on my machine at all. when i am not going to run my machine for a couple of days or have my windows open, i will put a light plastic tablecloth (one of those cheap disposable throw-aways) over the top of my whole machine to try and keep dust/dirt to a minimum. i like to be up close and personal with what is going on with my printhead, capping station, other components and it is easier to clean and keep clean when i can get my big, fat hands in there!

All the Kiosk covers that we have seen have a dark tinted plastic window on top. This plastic window just simply gets unscrewed and removed which gives you your opening to mount the EZ PRO bulk ink system.
