Ive tried everything to reset this ink light, it wont dissapear.
Ive tried turning the machine off completely, pulling the chips out ..swapping them around.. and the ink light is still on...it wont reset.
Any suggestions?
Maybe you have a bad ink chip that needs to be replaced? That is the only thing I can think of if resetting is not working. Have you reset your waste ink counter? Maybe this could also have something to do with it. Did you restart your machine after you reset the ink chips? I know with my HM1, it does not recognize I have reset until I restart the machine. Hope this helps some. I have not heard of this problem before, but I am thinking its a good possibility that you have a bad chip.

its a kiosk 1. ...light cyan...
Ive reset the ink by taking the cover off too....
Pulled the print head out and gave it a clean...
i take all the chips out then all the lights tell me theyre all empty, i put them in one at a time and they all work except the light cyan...
Its driving me nuts!
On the Kiosk it is Normally The machine is thinking that it is out of ink. for that colour that is solid. If you have chips in yours (dummy ink Cartridges) You should pull out this colour and clean the conections. (use an Eraser to do this) Be gentle. Ensure that all your print jobs have been cancleed in the que as well as checking that there is none Processing. After this unplug you machine for 2 minuted. Also ensure that the gold prongs which are inside the printhead are also clean and that the chip has a good conection.
Good point Grant, it also might be that the conector with the gold prongs has been damaged or come dislodged. Make sure that all of the connectors with the gold prongs look intact.
thanks guys...10 pts to bobbielee.
new ink chip was sent out and works again..
*sigh of relief*
*End relief* ...
i printed a handfull of garments and its doing the same thing again ...noooooooooo!!!!!!!....i saw the light blinking saying it was about to run out...it ran out...
now wont reset... again.
suggestions anybody?
Hmmm I am wondering if it has anything to do with the board that the ink chips plug into. I have no idea about this, but I am just guessing. It sounds logical though since you put a new chip and it worked for a bit, that maybe its the slot the chip goes into that is malfunctioning. Just a thought

u were right the first time :P...
any chance u think it could be the print head?...it doesnt get that much use and only got it 10 months ago
No I dont think so, the printhead would not cause your ink lights to blink. Its something with the way its reading that particular chip it sounds like to me. There is no problems with the others right? just that one?

Have you cleaned the prongs that the chip goes onto? I would think you have a fuality connection somewhere. Ensure that all prongs are sitting nice and proud. The newer ones donot have inkchip sets in them Mine does not have any at all. Maybe you could change your over to this. They have a another board in them under the ink bottle tray. I would also be checking that the print head cables are in properly and correctly also checking that all ends are ok both print head and main board

Part name for the board Grant mentions here is WIMS board. It also initiates auto-headcleanings and simplifies the ink chip resets.
