1. my prints on black garment washing off. the first 3 washings no problem. Perfect result, but then th 4th washing my colours go away. Why? the white underbase ist ok only the colours washed out?! Is this a problem of pretreatment? to much or less?
2. yesterday i printed on white garment. After 5 or 6 prints the HM1 no longer print yellow . he begins printing and while printing yellow is not there for the rest of the picture. I do a headclean. after this all is o.k.. Some prints later the same again, so i can put the shirt away. is it necessary, that you make an haed clean after 5 or 6 prints? the next one i printed on black (see my pictures) the white is perfect i think, but the colour?
What is here the problem. half an hour before i do an print whithout stripes!
I´ve filled all Ink-Bottels. make an head clean, an print the other picture ("Käfer")
When i print it on white garment it´s without stripes.
I´ve printed another picture, the same problem, but only on dark garment with white underbase.
Stefan,
Banding usually means that your print head is clogged, or there is ink starvation, or your print head alignment is off. The quickest way to figure out exactly what is happening is to print a nozzle check and see how it prints.
Are you printing in high speed mode or not? High speed mode is also known as bidirectional mode.

Agreed with Alex, your printhead is a bit clogged or there is ink starvation in your lines. Most likely it is banding on white t-shirts, but you can not notice it as much as you can on white underbase prints.
Try priming the lines again (making sure there is no air) and changing the dampers.
Stefan,
If you print out your nozzle check on transparency paper, you'll be able to see white ink.
Your nozzle check looks fine. If you're still getting banding, you need to print in unidirectional mode, which is slow, or do a bidirectional alignment.
If your shirts are washing out, what temperature are you curing your shirts at? For how long? The recommended times are usually 330 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 minute for light shirts, 2-3 minutes for dark shirts.
How important is the temperature bei curing the Shirts for stabalizing the colours after washing?. I think my Press show 170°C but therr are perhaps 163°C
Having the right curing temperature is absolutely important. I prefer to use temperature strips or a temperature probe to test the different areas of the heating element. Some presses will allow you to use an I.R. gun, but others will give you a false reading because of the reflection off of the heating element. Which ever way you do it, getting an accurate temperature on your heating press can / willl make a huge difference in your washability.
