Ok here are a few pieces I printed with my hm1, I havent really taken many pics of things but these are a few. notice on the cafe one the registration was off a little on the top, but I fixed it as soon as I printed it hehe. ok here goes..... TA DA
This one is in a package already sorry
This is the one that the registration was off but I just wanted to show the color I could get on a black garment
I will try to post some better pics at a later time, but I had these on comp so I figured I would post them, maybe Rodney will forgive me for not posting my videos yet hehe if I post a few pics until then.
Thanks guys, I really like the first one too, I printed that one today. The first one only took like 20 to 25 seconds, the second one because it is on a little preemie onesie maybe 10 seconds and the second one because it has the white underbase I would say maybe 45 to 50 seconds. Ok now I am going to have to time it hehe to see because I didnt but those times are probably pretty close.
45-50 seconds for the black tee? Wow, I think you maybe under estimated it a bit but yeah, HM-1 is def a lot quicker then the original T-jets and Kiosk.
Ilias, yes my washability is great, very little fading and they last really well. I had not washed the black one before the pic, I will try to take a pic of it as it has been washed at least five times by now because my husband stole it hehe.
Adam, The white is one pass on medium density. I think it is 1440 x 720 when it is at medium. With my HM1 I get really great coverage with just one pass. I did a Royal blue shirt that had all white text and only did one pass at heavy density and it was totally solid with no show through at all and because I am printing with the new white ink, it is super bright. The new ink is awesome
it's so nice that you are satisfied with your hm1; unfortunately i am not. i do prefer working with my roland vp-300. dtg printers don't satisfy me at all. on dark garment printing versa-camm reigns! it's been about 2 months testing those two machines and i have decided to sell the hm1. i know that many people don't like heat-transfer material but the washability of roland's eco solvent ink is more than perfect, is a miracle of technology!
you said you used new white ink. which one?

Dupont has a new white ink they just released, I dont know if they have it where you are but it is much brighter than the other that has been available.
That first print is GORGEOUS! I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new white ink. Have been mucking through a bottle of FastInk3 from USSPIT. Hopefully brighter days are ahead. lol

whats your roland vp-300 do you have pics of your work?
momentarily i don't have pics but i will try to have some in the following days and upload them. well vp can't print and cut that good any design while hm1 surely can print especially like the one on the first picture of sunnyfdayz. but talking about what vp can print and cut well be sure that it does it much better than hm1.there are different things one can do with each machine. for example during summer time nobody can wear a t-shirt with a large print of versa-camm on.
i hate the pre-treatment story a lot but the new pre-treatment machines that will be out soon hopefully will make this problematic procedure much easier. if new ink with better washability will be out soon too- i am sure it will-then everybody will be happier.
meanwhile i am still testing my hm1...except the fact that it spends a lot of ink for each head cleaning everything else seems quite ok.

Well we own a VersaCamm which is a Great machine. Never had a single problem with it and it is great for all your vinyl and banner related graphics. We tried to do some shirts with it using the Specialty Materials ColorPrint Eco Solv which has the best hand. The colors are super bright it washes great but anyway you look at it, it is still a Heat transfer which gives the apperance of low quality. I have had some people say they did not mind the feel and most were turned off by it. So from my experience most customers do not want anything to do with the heat transfer material, I even had a customer tell me that if I had that machine in the 70's I would have made a killing doing Fonzy shirts and actually 2 days ago I had a customer ask if they could just purchase the "Iron ons" and they will iron them on their self.
