Re: dtg kiosks inks? Any time you switch between ink brands you potentially encounter at least two different problems. First off - the software that comes with each machine is profiled for that machine, so you ay potentially experience a color shift with a new ink set. Secondly, inks from different manufacturers have different chemical compositions which can react unfavorably with one another causing clogging issues. Anytime you switch ink brands you should throroughly flush your ink system out with distilled water and cleaning solution prior to implementing the new ink set. From the same line of thinking, if you do change - you should most likely change over all of your colors as the inks will be mixing in the capping station when a head cleaning takes place which could cause clogging issues in your pumps/waste lines.
Hope this helps. |
