I am trying to print a design and it is printing ok except that it is printing the outline( in spots) twice mostly the black part. But not all the black outline. how do I fix this?
I called tech support, and it was bidirectional. I have to do this design undirectional which will take longer but I can get the job done. The problem was small design with vertical lines and those lines printed twice. onyl the verticals ones. So if anybody else evers has this issue try to print it unidiriectional.
We tried that when I called tech services and determined it was the bidirectional and it needed to unidirectional. I printed them this way and they cam out great. It just took longer.
How I do it is in print preview print options properties then advanced in there if you scroll down you will see bedirectiona; if you click on that there is a drop down menu and you should see it. It is in the same place you set your other settings. At least for me it is.
What is misaligned? Is white beyond the color if so that is your choke you need to fix and that is in the rip por software under utilities thenprinter and ink configuration. In that you will see a choke button to the right side.
If thin lines are printing double then that is when you would go unidirectional.
I'm talking about double printing, not anything about white choke.
And ok, I know that going unidirectional I solve the problem.
The thing is: I suppose that there is something we may do to correct this misalignment... or not?
I can only detect that there is double printing when the work is done. And if that happens, it means that I not only lost time, but also one blank t-shirt.
If this is the official solution, I'll end up printing unidirectional all the time (which is what I'm doing so far). But I really want to believe that Viper can do better than that...
I only have to go unidirectional if it is thin lines and I mean think lines. If I take the same design and make it bigger (which i have and used it one the back of the shirt) I can go bedirectional. this one design is the only problem that I have had. But I have a kiosk II. Di you call swf or whoever you bought the machine from. That was who told me about the fix. Did you also know that you can preview the design you are going to print to see how it will look before you print it. Maybe that will tell you if you are going to have a problem with the design.
If it prints fine unidirectionally but prints wrong bidirectionally, I would think that indicates a misalignment in the print head. Have you tried using the print head alignment in the maintenance section of the Epson Stylus Photo 2200 driver? There should be directions for how to do it on the SWF support site.
