Default more banding issues

I know this issue can be beat to death but what is with this thing and not printing red! I've been emailing back and forth with Anthony in FL, he's given me things to try but to no avail. I'm printing from PhotoshopCS2.
This is my setup

under the preview it says "color management"
let photoshop determine colors
working CMYK usweb coate (SWOP V2)
relative intent calorimetric

into Rip

Document options
Advanced printing features enabled
Printer features

Are you getting good nozzel check? Had same problem printing hot pink color last week, turned white highlight down to 3% and printed fine.

yes the nozzle checks are fine, in fact the only thing (color) that had one or two lines missing were the white. I'll have to try the highlight adjustment.

Things like this make me wonder if screen printing would have been easier.. ) but I had issues with my Versa Camm too.. guess it's just a learning curve. I know it can be done... time will tell.
