Default Printer fart

Its probably the 3rd time its happened since ive had the machine...not a regular occurrence but just want to know if its happened to other people.
It generally makes a high frequency sound for 2 passes of the print head then dumps a band of ink.
(see pic)
After resetting and doing around 10 head cleans its operational again

Never had that happen... given that it dumped the ink in the wrong place, my first guesses would be either link in the carraige sensor or your encoder strips needs to be cleaned.

Your carriage assembly is probably sticking as it moves side to side. Shut off your printer and unplug it. Move the carriage assembly from side to side and see if its a smooth action. If not the shaft might be sticky and need to be cleaned and lightly oiled.
More likely your gear on the motor that drives the carriage belt is dirty. You may need to get a pick to clean the grooves in the pulley. Also check the belt for wear or dirt.

Thanks for the help Harry. There are a ton of folks needing help over on the Fast T-Jet section, are you all still helping those folks out?

We help and provide service to users of many different printer brands, including the Fast T-Jet and DTG printers.
