My Wife and I are starting up printing. We have had some intrests in custome skate boards. I know that some people print on rice paper and then transfer this to the deck but what about pretreating the deck then print directly to it. then clear coat it? Is this doable or am I off the mark

The challenge with this is that the boards generally are too contoured to allow for a good consistent print direct to them. The rice paper and clearcoat are the best option.

I have been trying to find more information about printing on rice paper. ie what type, veneders, and methods. Anyone that can point me in the right direction this would be great.
