Re: One tiny little pink line.. not showing up on nozzle check
It appears that one of your magenta nozzles has a little buildup in it. I would try soaking in the capping station again. Sometimes it can take doing it a few times to get it completely cleared. It can be frustrating haha, but it should work as the cmyk nozzles are much easier to clear then the white ones.

Re: One tiny little pink line.. not showing up on nozzle check
Thanks for responding..
Maybe I did it wrong?
I was on the computer, had it start a head cleaning, when it moved, I quickly squirted some cleaning solution into the capping station and then quickly turned the machine off via the main power switch on the back and I returned the head back to its home position over the capping station.. Is there a different way I should have done this?
Re: One tiny little pink line.. not showing up on nozzle check
When you are doing a head clean, you wait till the very end of it, when the printhead goes over to the spit station. You then fill the capping station with cleaning solution, then wait for the printhead to come back over and seal on the capping station. Then you turn it offf If you turn it off before the print head is mounted back on the capping station, then it does not seal. It needs to seat itself on the capping station to work right Hope this helps.

Re: One tiny little pink line.. not showing up on nozzle check
The fluid will drain away, you really need to clamp off the pipe from the capping station to make sure the fluid level remains, otherwise you may not be soaking it.
Re: One tiny little pink line.. not showing up on nozzle check
dave- what is it that i need to take apart to get to that tube or can i just clamp off the tube that goes into the waste ink bottle? (ps- i havent been able to try any of this yet, we've been without power for a couple hours.. pge says its gonna be a couple more.. stupid wind)
Re: One tiny little pink line.. not showing up on nozzle check
When I soak my printhead the way I have described on the HM1, the fluid stays in the capping station fine. Once the printhead goes over to the capping station and homes itself, after it goes to the spit station, it does not suck the fluid out after that. I have never had a problem with it working.
Another way that might be easier for you is to power down your machine while the print head is off the capping station, then push your printhead to the center of the printbed, get a shallow dish and put about 1/8 to 3/16 " of fluid in it, and put it on your printbed, raise the printbed until the bottom of the printhead is sitting in the fluid. That might be easier for you, and you dont have to do anything other then putting the dish on the printbed, put your printhead right over it and then raise the bed to where the printhead is sitting in the fluid.

Re: One tiny little pink line.. not showing up on nozzle check
If your inks are water-based....I have two words for you.
Simple Green. That stuff works wonders and it isn't a corrosive. I run it through my prints every three to four months.
If that line doesn't come in with a few more soaks, its your print head. You can try reverse cleaning. A process by which you remove the head and directly syringe cleaner through the magenta nipple. You will need a syringe and some small aquarium tubing to do that.
