Hello,

Although we believe we have a work around for the Epson 1900 printer for a dtg RIP, at best case the build would be considered in beta. We typically try not to publish builds until we know that they are working correctly and the majority of bugs have been removed (you almost never get all the bugs out on the first release). You can send me a private message with your email and I can explain more as to what you can do for right now if you would like.

Best wishes with your DIY printer,

Mark

There is a small change necessary to make GP compatible with the 1900. I will supply Mark with the changes today.

Hiya, new to the forum so please bear with me..

same question for multirip gp 1900, downloaded trial to get a feel for it before starting on my first dtg conversion but unable to spec the 1900, only shows up the 1800 . could you let me know how to access the 1900 option of CMYK + 4 whites please.

Also any plans to utilise the 3800 as per the 1900 CMYK wwww, or subli/chroma due to the larger format (17 inch) and larger tanks in built? marrutt/lyson developing a bulk system for this printer..

Download and unzip the contents of the following ZIP folder - wwww.multirip.com/MRGP_1900_ROLLMODE.zip. Then copy and paste them into the MultiRIP GP folder on your C:\Drive. That should do the trick.

The concept of a one pass printing was brought up by DTG Digital and it faded very fastly. This is because you need to allow the white ink to start to gel before printing the color ink or everything would look like pastels. Kornit launched the Breeze using a one-pass technique, but they did this by stacking the print heads in one print head carriage (which you can't do with an Epson printer) to allow for the necessary time. However, the new Avalanche Kornit uses two completely different print head carriages like the Brother GT-782 printer.

So to sum this up, many experienced dtg people think the one-pass printing method using an Epson printer is not something that can be used for the majority of print jobs and would only lead to more technical support issues. So we have not incorporated the code into MultiRIP GP.

Hope this answers your question.

Mark

What do you mean by not recognizing your printer? A common problem is the ports are not set correctly. You might want to check out this section of the online tutorial - Ports - MultiRIP GP dtg Print From RIP.

Just for information, if you load the RIP with your printer on and connected to the computer, it will reconize the correct port.
