Before I start has anyone else used the plans from diydtg.com? I want to buildit for the fun of it. Has anyone payed the $25 for the third set of plans? Just wondering
I also am interested in the DIY DTG printers. I did pay the 25 bucks to diydtg.com but haven't been able to access the third set of plans or the forum there. Still hoping I'll get something for my "donation".
I'm a member of the forum, the plans are great to get started.
I'm building mine out of the 2200 and documenting the sensor on / off positions during various stages such as power on, printing, etc.
Glad to hear that they aren't out of business. How long after making the donation did you get some sort of cconfirmation and access to the forums ?

I'm pretty sure your supposed to pay and then email T for the access (thats what i did)
Correct, and it was about a day or so.
There is a lot of great info on the site. I'd love new members to join so we can discuss more than just the current plans, but things like how to improve components, loading mechanisms, platens, bulk ink systems etc.
very cool I got my access and they are doing even more/better than you would think from the posts here. only problem is plans aren't exactly easy to follow and you need some ingenuity of you own to work with them But they are so cool

I agree, it is DIY after all. Also, IMO the plans for the C88 are good to look at and get an idea how the printer works, but the C88 would never make a good shirt printer. For that you would need one such as the R1800, R1900, 2200, etc, along with a Rip. None of those machines have plans, however there are alot of people discussing their projects there, which is great to see how people figured out certain problems.
Ok !!! You guys are motivateing me to start, I purchased a few C120's(10) to practice with. After I get one of them to work, I plan to go to a wide format. I just want the experience first. ..... JB
I just purchased two (2) Epson R1900 last night in preparation of building myself at least one (1) dtg printer. Hopefully the process is fun, exciting, successful!
