[Inks for DTG Printing] INK decreases without printing
I am not printing from 3-4 days, i do nozzle check only. my INk are decreasing contantly. does that happen to allmost all printers? I also can see some wastage INK(in that bottle) without single headclean. Its less then half bottle(noticable decrease) & pretty low without printing single shirt.
Does Printer do Headcleaning or something automatically? I have HM1 with WIMS system.

Your machine does auto head cleans, that is where the wasted ink is coming from. Depending on how often it does them, will determine how much ink you are losing. I dont have the circulation system on mine, but I leave my machine on all day and let it do the head cleans, which are about every 3 hours., then I turn it off at night. The reps will advise you to leave it on 24 hours a day, but I do turn mine off about 8 hours a night.
Not sure if you have a setting where you can just schedule the ink cleans further apart and not so often with that system on there.

Before I switched to bags I noticed this too. Some days it was more noticeable than others, I even marked with a pencil on the bottles.
The 2 things that I found was, Automatic head cleans and evaporation. Also, in rare cases a siphon effect will occur and ink will drain from your bottles out through the capping station into your waste ink bottle. Usually when this happens, it will completely empty the bottles though not use a small amount.
