Question Help defining "Flex" in the DTG world

Hi all! I am very new to the DTG world. I am currently in the "researching stage." I am almost positive I will be purchasing a machine and starting a new business but I'm having trouble with some of the terms. What does "flex" refer to in the t-shirt world? I'm actually trying to come up with a name for my business and I like "digital flex" but I do not want to mislead clients if this is a completely different process. Any help is much appreciated.

Also, I am very impressed with the new Neoflex machine but since I'm just starting out & this machine is expensive, which machine do you reccomend for just starting out on a small scale that prints on darks (new or used)? Thanks again

I agree. Either vinyl or soft plastisol maybe?

I can't think of anything related to DTG for that word Flex.

I think flex is the European term for heatpress vinyl.

I really cant help you with DTG questions but there are a bunch of folks on the forum with plenty of experience.

You can search for neoflex posts on the forum or do a google search and you will find forum posts.

When I hear the word flex in printing, I tend to think of flexography where a flexible plate is used to usually print on plastic or metals (and of course paper) through rollers...different process. In the DTG world, Flexi-Jet would be the word I'm most familiar with flex since it was used to describe it's larger printing area, as in flexible.
