Default Printing woven fabrics

Been running some prints onto woven fabrics. Using prepared for printing, 100% white cotton twill (for bags and cushons). The wash result is'nt that great as opposed to single jersey. It's looks like a washout issue as there appears to be very little fibrulation.

I've printed it with a double pass to get a nice colour yield and I've tried heat setting for longer but it still looks faded after 1 wash.

I've checked the press temp with my probe and all is good.

Has anybody else had success with woven fabrics? Lastly, do the colour inks have a shelf life and perform worse over time?

Hi C How old are you inks? I think the shelf life is around 12 months for the cmyk inks. It does not sound like that is what is going on though. Have you tried maybe using a pretreatment for light color garments first? That might help, as I do use it for some light color stuff, and it definitely helps with brightness and better washing results. What temp and time are you using for your curing, and what are you covering the print with when you cure?
