[Pictures of DTG Printed Garments] New brand garment printer!
Hello guys i see the new company texmac is coming up with a new dtg is call SOLO, by the ones that they dont know texmac is the company who makes the HAPPY EMBROIDERY MACHINES so they came out with the idea to make their own garment printer.(SOLO) with one print head and the (DUET)with two print heads this machine can print in white and black garments.if u guys want check out the picture. Happy Embroidery Machines Home
WAO Gleen that is a good info there im located in minnesota and the tech here is been working with happy embroidery for 15 years or more and he wasnt sure about being a dealer of the new garment printer SOLO by texmac but is been a lot people that that they like it so much what i ear it is a good price and the ink is not that high cost but i will probably post some pictures from the t-shirts.Robert.
An other thing is you got be support for those cain toys and this guy is good, he is allways there for you and he will help you, but i see the machine running in his shop and is fast and dosent make to much noise running, i guess that is why they take a little bit longer in bring out there own garment printer because they want correct all isues.all what can i said is good machine.
Texmac SOLO is distributed by TEXMAC, the same company that distributes the high-quality Happy Embroidery Machines since 1974. Texmac's parent company (ITOCHU) is partnered with Mastermind (a Japanese early-innovator of garment printers since 2001) and InkMax Inks (maker of the highest-quality water-based inks) to bring their latest technologies directly to you. SOLO is the only EPSON-authorized printer partner and is completely re-engineered by EPSON, using all of their latest technology, for use as a garment printer (not just a paper printer used on textiles like other competitors).

Are you saying Epson is officially recognizing the Direct-To-Garment industry by partnering with Texmac, and their first endeavour is the SOLO?
From my understanding (maybe others can share their knowledge), there are four main Epson modifers that get additional information from Epson. Three of them are on the large format side: Roland, Mutoh and Mimaki. The other one is on the desktop side and it is Mastermind. I believe Don (SWF East) was talking about this and how they got a special ink chip for the Epson 2400 based printers (HM-1/HM-1C). Not sure how accurate this is.
But I am not sure how much Epson really participates with the creation of Mastermind's printers. The big question for Len (since he works for Texmac) is if you plug the SOLO printer into a computer, does the computer recongize the printer as Epson "paper printer" (your words... not mine) and can you use a standard print head as a replacement. If so, I don't really see the difference in the end. Please feel free to explain the difference as I am always willing to learn new information.

Mark the R2400 does have a different type of ink chip. Where the others are resettable the R2400 chips have to be replaced every so much ink that runs through the head. It was explained to me by Mesa, is this is the agreement they have with Epson. To have inks that need to be replaced, in order for Epson to allow them to use this printhead in their printers. I believe, this might be how epson makes money off of these printers, is the money on the chips, since they dont use epson inks. I could be wrong though But the HM1 does use replaceable chips, and not resettable.

I just watch a demo live in internet from this machine by the main distributor in texas and i just told 1 of the tech that he sould post more info about their machine SOLO in this Forum since is one of the more importants in the internet about all equipments, and he just told me that he will do it , because i just mention to him that is lot people that they got curious about how the new white ink system in the SOLO, for me is a good machine since i been watch in person.
And the support is so much important especial in this equipment.
I dont know in the others states but here in the midwest on Minnesota i got the best support from a happy embroidery tech (Alex) Alarcon & Co., Inc.
he helps most every one even they dont buy his embroidery equipment HAPPY , but he give to them help and support with any embroidery machine and i sure will be the same with the SOLO printer..

I thought Mastermind produced the T-Jets and the early version Kiosks. So is DTG Digital no longer partners with Mastermind or working with them on new printer technology?
Just watched the videos, wow that is painfully slow.
DTG Digital is really a collection of companies that sell dtg printers. At one point, DTG Digital had an exclusive with Mastermind for their dtg printers (Kiosk 2, HM-1,...). Then, one of the companies in DTG Digital decided to start manufacturing their own printer (i.e. Viper and later the Kiosk 3 / Raptor). However, some of the companies that make up DTG Digital still buy printers from Mastermind and this other company. At that point, Mastermind began looking for additional distributors (like Texmac / Happy in the U.S.). But that does not mean that some of the companies in DTG Digital are not working with MasterMind on other products.
That would be the Reader's Digest version. I am sure there are a lot more details that others will know, but that is the meat and potatoes.
Adam , are you talking about the speed in the SOLO printer?
For what i know the video that they have post the printing is 1440 x 1440 dpi.
It takes like a 3 min for a normal size printing in black shirts. for standar resolution, I also ask about some new features that they should add like if they can print in caps and they told me that they are working on it.
But what i like is the circulation system that have the machine, every 2 hours makes the white ink moves or not set in to the lines, and if you dont use the machine you dont got worry, just keep plug in the outlet.

Yes, the SOLO video printing color layer on a white underbase (Black shirt).
I don't know about 3 minutes, I watched the entire video which is about 1 min long and it was only about 1/3 of the print when the video ended.
The WIMS is installed on other machines offered by DTG Digital, personally I'm not a fan. After I was about to purchase the system for the Kiosks, there were alot of complaints from end users like.. it doesn't really prevent clogging, the pump system has issues, etc.
