I see US Screen is advertising "everyday low prices" on their inks. One of my suppliers has the same prices plus a holiday discount. Is this a sign that ink prices are finally begining to shift to lower prices or is it just for the holidays? What are your suppliers doing as far as ink priceing, any changes?

Have you noticed that big screen TV's and other "Christmas" items are selling lower than ever before? Think it may be because the economy may be a bit soft? Also, competition tends to drive price, with more marginal players entering the ink market, the only way to make an impact is by price. Be caustious when buying inks from a new vendor, always completely flush your lines prior to installing the new ink. We are seeing more imcompatibilites between ink brands than ever before.
I agree that incompatibilty of inks can be an issue.
One thing I have noticed is that even if the printer has been flushed out the dampers may not be completely flushed out, and may clog when the inks combine, so do be thorough in cleaning the capping station, wiper blade, and flushing out the printer when switching inks.
