I went to EQ Zone a few days ago and checked out their new Automatic Pretreatment machine and it rocks!!
I do not use white ink for the simple reason it is too messy and time consuming but this thing might just make me start using white ink soon...
I pretreated with fastcolor last year but gave up after a month because the spraying of shirts was so messy, time consuming, smelly and just not completely uniform from shirt to shirt. Especially in a small office like mine the cloud of prtreatment from spraying made it like gas chamber in here. Some shirts came out great, some needed more pretreatment, some less, etc...
I still do not know how any of you guys using white ink put up with it.
But after seeing this thing in action, I would def recommend it to anyone pretreating shirts. You could have ANYONE doing this in 2 minutes, with no training.
We were standing in front of the machine talking and the guy turns the machine on and lays a shirt down, during our conversation...the shirt board went in and out in about 5 seconds tops...I just kept on talking as I thought he was just adjusting the height or something...after about 5 minutes I was like- all right I'm ready- is it warmed up/calibrated/ready...and he's like I just did it 5 minutes ago, whats wrong with you.
It happened so fast and I did not hear, see, smell or choke on anything that I could not believe the shirt was pretreated! The spray was so uniform and fine that I could not tell it was actually pretreated until I touched it.
It really was amazing how fast, silent and efficient it was with NO overspray or anything. You could have this in a tiny room pretreating and it would not matter. Also it really did the shirt in like 5 seconds so you could pretreat a ton of shirts quickly.
I just thought I would let everyone know about this thing as if you are using white ink, I would seriously goive it a look. I think I am going to consider getting into white ink printing in the near future now that I know this is out there.
Also- I have NO affiliation with EQ Zone at all, except I buy my ink from them.

Re: I Saw EQ Zones new Auto Pretreater- VERY nice!!
Hey Vince great to see you still out here. As for the stuff Harry and crew come out with is top quality. I have the 7 color bulk system, it still works great since the day I bought it. I havent seen the pre-treat machine yet but I would bet E-Zone has a great product.
