Hi, first post here and i thought i would ask some questions after i've had a read.
We are looking at buying a direct to garment printer and living in the most isolated city in the most isolated country we kinda expect to get screwed by agents who sell equipment to us.
Things like its cheaper for us to import our ribbon from england than from the other side of the country, something like 50% cheaper.
That said we got a bit of a shock with the costs of the machines here.
i have 4 brands we are looking at, Anajet, T-jet,
DTG and Kornit.
The t-jet price is pretty much on par with the states once you add freight, maybe a bit more expensive but reasonable. The anajet i'm still waiting on confirmed pricing, but I'm told its reasonable as well. The
DTG i don't have a baseline to work from, but these machine seem to be on the cheaper end of the market anyway and the results from users are very mixed.
And then we move to the kornit, now i know lots of people have said they are expensive, but the quote i got make the 931ds 12 times the cost of the tjet blazer pro. I'm not sure if someone is just making a massive markup or these machine are really that expensive. my feeling is someone is trying to make a rather large buck and i would rather go the cheaper route as i just cant see a machine being that much better.
its like a Lamborghini to a Hyundai price difference, but am i going to get the lambo performance and backup.
