Exclamation Who's DTG to buy?

I'll try to be brief and specific as possible. The decision for DTG has been made, for purposes of integration into a well establish embroidery business. I've done moderate research by speaking to mfg and endlessly reading these forums. I feel as though I have a broad understanding of the issues in terms of pretreating, speed, maintenance, etc. Bottom line question is, who's. Leaning towards Anajet for purposes of the closed loop system, and simply their responsiveness to all questions posed. Can I go wrong? Or is there some great flaw of Anajet's, or unresearched superstar (other than Kornit) that I have not considered. I've spoke to T-Jet, but have yet to get their samples or follow-up call 10 days later. Just looking for reassurances, or better yet, negatives. (You DTG mfg. guys will eat this up, but refrain please. Looking for opinions of actual users). Many thanks!

Dewey,

I think the best thing anyone can recommend for you is to see the machines in person and have the seller so you all the steps from start to finish (pretreating, design / artwork enhancement, printing software, machine maintenance,...). If you are happy with the process and have done your research on all the machines...everything should work out for you. I think you will find people on this forum that like all the different types of dtg printers. So much of it comes to the individual's business (employees, target market, existing customers,...). I wrote about this in the section entitled "Is dtg Right for My Business" - www.multirip.com/dtg101.pdf.

If you are looking at one of the well know printers that has been on the market for a while, you probably would have come across some red flags of the problems specific to that printer - especially with forums like this. You probably understand that white ink can have challenges associated with it and it will take more time / effort to master printing with it.

Best wishes,

Mark

If it were me I'd get a USSCREENS TJet, primarily because of my proximity to the manufacturer (about 30 miles). If it sucks I can carry it and set it on Fresner's desk until it works again. Right now I am heat-press transfer shop (primamry biz is signs/banners/decals/trophies/awards/engraving)... Apparel is a sideline product. I am not sure I like the margins so far!
