we keep getting a mysterious problem while printing:
in the middle of a print-job, the printer simply turns itself of. not even the laser sensors are working. it is just dead. we unplugged it and waited some 5-10 mins and then it came back to life. extremely weird if you ask me. anfter 2hs of printing - same problem occured again.
is it overheating? what can we do to prevent this from happening? are there any replacements that need to be done?
I have two T-Jet 2īs that prints whole day, Never had this problem so my first guess is that it is a connections issue inside he machine. This maybe donīt help you much but I donīt think itīs overheated.

If your power light, laser, and counter go off then it sounds like the power converter is overheating. When you unplug the printer it allows the power converter to cool down and that's why your printer goes back on when you plug it back in. The power converter looks like a small silver cube and is mounted under the chrome cover on the side without the control buttons. It is not hard to change. Both Equipment Zone and US Screen should have that part in stock.
