Default Needing Heat Press - how does this look?

I am in the same boat as everyone else. I think I have narrowed down to getting the AnaJet but now I need a heat press. I don't have any money left for a top of the line one.

I just need something to get me through the summer and hopefully we will have a little more to spend later.

HEAT TRANSFER PRESS - eBay (item 350057157333 end time May-12-08 19:56:50 PDT)

Does this look like it might work for now? I am an amateur so I am not sure what to look for.

Thanks everyone!

i have either the exact same press or its very similar, worked fine for transfers/flex/flock but i was getting washout problems with dtg ink, got a heat probe today and the digital temp readout on the press bears no relation whatsoever to the actual heat being generated, so i would avoid it like the plague. No idea about the sunie but i have heard good things, have you tried a heat probe on your sunie Roger to verify its doing what it says on the digital readout ? i need a new press fast..........

I don't have a sunie but know several people that do, seems like the temp is verified with a infared, I use a mighty press.

sounds strong!! I'm afraid to ask how much those cost. Ana Jet sells one, not their own but they are asking $1200 for it. That's just too much for now, with all the other start up costs.

Thanks so much for the help. Just called SUNIE. Waiting for a call back...

FYI - This is the incorrect way for reading the temperature on a heat press. The reason being is that the laser used by the infrared will partially bounced off the heating element and it will not give you an accurate temperature. To get an accurate temperature, you really need to use the heating strips and spread them through out the entire platen. This will let you know if you have any cold spots as well.

The infrared gun will work if you are measuring the temperature on the plastisol ink on a shirt going through a conveyor dryer since it does not reflect off of the ink like it does with the heating element.

Hi,

If you want a cheap and stabil press I would recomend Siser TS ONE. I have one on itīs very good! One bonus is that it has a large board/platen.

You can read more at Siser S.r.l. | manufacturer of Thermo Transfer for Textile
