I myself use a Wagner HVLP gun with my pretreatment. it works great and really gets into the fibers of the fabric.

The predominant pretreatment applicator used in this industry is the Wagner Control Spray Sprayer. It is included as part of the package with all the Fast T-Jet, Flexijet, and DTG printers.

This must have been a recent development, since my Flexi-Jet purchased in early 2007 did not have that option.

The least expensive solution is the Wagner HVLP, less than &90 at Home Depot and very consistent, easy to clean and, as Sunny said, easy to change between pre-treat dilutions with a $25 extra front end.
