You are welcome. By the way the $25 if it doesn't hurt your budget will be a good investment. The reason there are many guys have posted there problems and got answers. Think about it.
Can somebody please make a summary of this thread? I've read page 1-6 then jumped to few last pages. I can't find any real conclusion if there's a way for to jump in this DTG business. I have quite problem with my eyes and bad slow english reading. Thanks in advance.
I have uploaded a slide show for the adjustable platen for C88 (actually you can use it for any printer with minor adjustments). After Quicktime loading the SShow you can see it again by double-clicking on the image area. One click to pause. Untitled Page
Jack, I have a 1280 printer that I haven't used in years. Can I convert that to a DTG printer? I was going to start the project with my c 88, but if I can use the 1280, I would like to. If I do, can I use the same plans for the c88 platform or would I have to make the platform bigger?
The idea is the same but the printer built is little different. I have 1280 too. I decided not to look or work on it since it is 6 colors and other considerations. I am working now on the epson 3000 which is more suitable for the project and its a workhorse. I had 2 and last week bought the third from ebay for $200 total with shipping. I will use one to brake apart and practice on. The main object is to have one for colors and the second for laying white on dark shirts prior to applying colors.

sal,
i know its alot of reading but really, if your not willing to at least read the whole thread to discover what others have spent hours and hours researching and developing then would you prefer someone just sends you their DIY DTG that they built for you. Sorry to sound harsh and I know you said your english is slow but if your not willing to at least read the thread you'll never sucsessfully build you own dtg
Kafian,
are dtg inks only for 4 color setups plus white?
I have a 2200 that i am starting to take appart but since it is a 6 color would it work with dtg inks?
I saw on your video that you are using a cis with big bottles, where did you get it?
Did it come empty or all together with the dtg inks?
I am very skilled for tech. mechanical and electronics (repair area) and i am sure i can get to where all of us want to with the diy dtg. but i don't wanna start with the wrong printer.
Thanks.

Hi, I have seen others working on 2200 at the dtg forum. I do not have much interest with 6 color printers, but I will help you as much as I can. I prefer epson 3000. As to your question on the inks YODAN is selling dtg inks on his website also the cis. My cis was from conde (4 years ago) used to use for sublimation inks. (they were very expensive compared to what is available now).
Kafian,
me again, do they sell cis or refillable cartridges for your 3000?
How are you gonna use dtg inks in it?
You do not need ref cartridges for 3000 all you have to do is to lock the door mechanism on always open and attach the tubes of the cis directly to the intake needle (instead of the cartridge whole).
I have not seen makemygraphix on here for a while. Is he only posting on his website now? Do we have to join his website to find out his progress with the DTG?
