Hi,
you and me both. I'm trying to figure this out as well. I hear lots of good things about the DTG kiosk, HM1. but I also have looked into transfers. Ordered some samples.

All DTG machines require lots on maintenance & upkeep. If you do not have any DTG distributor in your country, I would stay away from DTG for now. It's just too much to learn, and it sounds like you have no experience in the t/shirt business, so this is NOT the machine for you. I would suggest your purchase some used screen print equipment, and learn this business first, especially artwork. If you do not produce your own artwork, then you have to pay to get it done, and that's also extra expense. First learn this business, then look at a DTG printer later. If you can come to US, then US Screen offers screen-printing classes that will help you get started.

Transfers are an easy and inexpensive way to start. You can make your own transfers with your own art or you can purchase ready to use transfers. Transfers only require a printer and heat press. Inexpensive startup and easy to learn.

Yes, we produce color transfers here on our inkjet printer using transfer paper purchased from the local office supply store. You'll need a good commerical heat press (about $1,500), and inkjet printer ($100), and you're in business.
