Default Ultimate heat cure test

I decided to create a new thread for my findings as the more you know the more i know... and i want you all to see this.
Anyway, I picked up a cheapie heatpress today and experiemnted abit on a bunch of tees (I must say i think ive wasted $300 on tees for research and development at the moment).
The following image is of me taking the tee to the extremes and something reasonable. The right hand side was scorched, left top was only cured in an oven and the bottom was cured at a recommended time and temperature.

As you can see visually, the oven cured ink does not last very long at all. This image shown is after 1 vigorous hand wash.
What I am interested is in the sweet spot labelled. It retains all colour after washing. This is part of the tee that is not touching the panel but right next to the press where the temperature was at a scorching 608°F. I am wondering if the best curing method would be to have the press at 482°F with the panel barely touching the tee to get the tee up to the right temperatures...
Let me know if you have experimented with anything similar, as I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks

Default Re: Ultimate heat cure test

Good question, now you have got me interested myself.... although, I have clam heat presses that may have a little variance in the distance from the front to the back of the tee I am curing. I will give this some time. And let you know my results.
