Hey Binki. I'm actually a customer of a
DTG printer who feeds the tees through a heat tunnel which is where my problem comes from. I dont believe the heat tunnel cures the inks properly and they end up fading a fair bit after 4-5 washes. I took one of the designs and pressed a standard iron on it on the highest heat (no steam) for 10 - 15 secs which i accidently burnt slightly.
The burn came off after the first wash, however after 3 washes there was a distinct difference where I had the iron to where the iron was not. The ironed section of the print retained the colour and still looks like a brand new print where as the non ironed section had faded around 8% already.
I'll upload a pic of a section of the tee abit later when I am ready to give away hints to who I am.
Thanks everybody for the current feedback, even though I am just a customer of a printer I have a greater understanding of whats going on behind the scenes from this forum.
Cheers
