Question New HM-1 Problem! Please Help!

We finally got our HM1 on Friday. Today I tried to print on our first black shirt and when I hit the up button to move up the printing bed, it got stuck going up and now the t-shirt and platen are lodged aganinst the top of the printer. Its pushing so hard that the metal is bowing up. I've tried resetting the machine and nothing will make it stop going up. I don't know if it is the gap sensor malfunctioning or what. When I turn it on, it just keeps trying to go up an up even when I press down. I have already printed a bunch of shirts without any problems. Is there a way to manually move down the print bed? Does anyone know what to do?

Thanks

Default Re: New HM-1 Problem! Please Help!

There are some times when you should have only your dealer or equipment manufacturer advising you and this is one of those times. It sounds like you most likely have a stuck switch. It could be a simple fix or may be something more complex. Since you have a brand new machine I suggest you do not touch it until you speak to your dealer on Monday and they advise you what to do. It should be covered under your warranty. You should definitely keep the printer off for now since you otherwise stand a good chance of burning out the lift motor
