Default Question about HM1

Hi Guys, does anyone know if you can change the settings for the automatic head cleanings? I want to be able to leave it on but it is really using alot of ink when I leave it on all the time. I would imagine there is a way to change the settings as far as how often it cleans. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Bobbie

Hi Bobbie,

The firmware can be adjusted by your distributor to change the head cleaning interval

Hope this helps!

Hi ilias,

Yes, you can run DuPont inks through your DTG, you will want to flush the system out first if you are not currently running DuPont inks. You want to make sure that the inks you get are "fresh", DuPont informed us that, according to the principal at DTG INKS.com, the supply of inks at DTGINKS were inventory left over from when they were distributors for All American (the Flexi dealer) - that relationship ended about 4 months ago and DuPont gives a six month shelf life (from date of manufacture) on their white ink when it is bottled in 1 liter or smaller bottles - the inks may already be past their shelf life, unless the information provided to DuPont was incorrect.

i had the impression that your inks are dupont too. why can't i mix them; suppose i had purchased inks from yodan as the outrageous price of the only one dtg dealer in athens is $600 for a 1 lt bottle of margenta, $600 for 1 lt bottle of black etc. the local dtg dealer's ink prices are a black point in dtg world just like your relationship with yodan as i see.

Discman,

The distributor in Europe has used a couple of different ink sets - I am not certain which ink set they are currently selling. You would need to confirm this with your manufacture's rep. If in doubt, flush it out and you will not have a concern. In regards to the radical price difference, you may find that importing the inks will drive the price up to a point that the savings in minimal to non-existant. It is a major hassle for companies to ship overseas via commercial airliner anymore so prices of international airfrieght have begun to rise.

Perhaps you should contact the European Distributor - Impression Technology Europe out of the UK - they may be able to shed some light on the ink pricing issue.

Happy Printing!

ilias if you switch to the dupont ink from the R&H you will need to get another color profile as they do not represent the same as the R&H inks do, might as well get it now as R&H stopped selling DTG inks.

Discman,

Gasoline is only $2.69 a gallon here in Florida right now, should we send you some gas as well? I understand that it is about $2.00 a liter in Europe right now.

Happy Printing!
